Don Bogue

Don Bogue has spent more than 25 years leading technology based businesses, from established companies to start-ups.
He co-founded Command Audio in late 1995 to commercialize its proprietary on-demand media technology. Don and the team he recruited created and launched an entirely new wireless information and entertainment service for mobile consumers, then refocused Command Audio on licensing the underlying intellectual property for "broadcast and store" applications in a range of emerging consumer audio, video, computer and cell phone markets. Prior to Command Audio, Don served as CEO and Director at Giga-tronics, a publicly held manufacturer of wireless communications test equipment, and ran the largest divisions of Ampex Corporation, a pioneer in magnetic recording technology and a manufacturer of professional video products and systems.
Don holds a degree in Economics from Harvard.

John Balen

John Balen joined Canaan Partners in 1995. He is primarily focused on investments in information technology companies. Prior to joining Canaan, John served as a Managing Director of Horsley Bridge Partners, a multi-billion dollar private equity investment firm headquartered in San Francisco. During his nine-year tenure at Horsley Bridge Partners, he was responsible for a wide spectrum of investments in high technology companies, venture capital partnerships and buyout partnerships.
In addition to his board service for Command Audio, he currently serves on the boards of Dexterra, Echopass, Everdream, ID Analytics and Silicon Optix. He previously served on the boards of Commerce One, Intraware and Rightpoint, which was acquired by E.piphany.
John received a BS in electrical engineering and an MBA from Cornell University.

Gene Eidenberg

Gene Eidenberg co-founded Granite Ventures as the early-stage venture capital group within Hambrecht & Quist. He was involved in guiding Granite towards becoming an independent firm in 1998 and growing Granite to $650 million of funds under management. Prior to Hambrecht & Quist, Gene held various positions at MCI, where his responsibilities included the company's international business, strategic planning and corporate development functions. Gene also served as President and CEO of Macrovision Corporation from 1987 to 1990.
He was Secretary to the Cabinet and Assistant to the President during the Carter Administration. In addition to his board service for Command Audio, he currently chairs the Board of Internap Network Services (AMEX: IIP) and serves on the Board of LSSI.
Gene holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Northwestern University.

Manny Krakaris

Manny Krakaris joined Command Audio in 1996 as CFO of Command Audio. As CFO, Manny partnered with the CEO to raise capital, plan strategy and negotiate contracts, in addition to undertaking the traditional finance and administration duties of the CFO. Manny is a senior financial and business advisor to technology companies and, prior to Command Audio, he was CFO of Intouch Group, which developed interactive music sampling and market research kiosks for the record industry. Previously, he was Group Vice President of BNP Paribas, heading up its structured finance division for the Western U.S. He also held banking positions at Lloyds International Corporation and Toronto-Dominion Bank.
Manny received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.

Dick Mattern

Dick Mattern is a private investor and has served on the Board of Directors for Command Audio since 1996. Dick served as Senior Vice President, Business Development, at Seimens ICN and, prior to this SVP appointment, he was responsible for corporate affairs and managing the Seimens global multimedia messaging business unit. Dick came to Seimens from IBM where he held a variety of technical, planning and management positions, including Vice President of Marketing at Rolm following its purchase by IBM.
Dick holds a BA in Economics and a Master's in Public and International Affairs.

John Ryan

Inventor of Command Audio's audio-on-demand system, John Ryan co-founded the company in October, 1995 to commercialize this technology. John also co-founded Macrovision (NASDAQ:MVSN) in February 1983 and is an inventor of Macrovision's core copy protection technologies. John has more than 25 years of experience in television technology research and development and is the inventor on more than 50 patents and has 11 patent applications pending in the fields of video copy protection, video scrambling, audio information dissemination and television camera technology.
John studied Physics and Mathematics at the University of Galway in Ireland and received a full technological certificate in Telecommunications from the City and Guilds of London, England in 1969. He is the author of several technical articles on the subject of television camera design.

Joel Talcott is Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Ampex Corporation (NASDAQ: AMPX), headquartered in Redwood City, California, where he is responsible for worldwide legal and licensing activities. He also serves as Adjunct Professor at Santa Clara University School of Law. Prior to being named Ampex’s General Counsel in 1987, Joel had served as Patent Counsel for Ampex since 1981. Before that, he practiced as a patent attorney with various companies.
Joel received a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Illinois Institute of Technology and a Juris Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law. He has been a practicing attorney since 1969.
